1. What cookies and similar technologies are
Cookies, local storage, pixels, SDKs, and similar technologies store or read information on a browser or device. Tamper uses them to keep services secure, remember preferences, support offline features, measure product performance, and improve user experience.
2. Necessary technologies
Necessary technologies support authentication, security, fraud prevention, load balancing, user preferences, cart or order flows, offline point-of-sale operation, and service reliability. These are required for Tamper to work and cannot be disabled through Tamper’s cookie banner.
3. Optional analytics and PostHog
Tamper uses PostHog analytics through NanoCorp infrastructure when analytics consent is enabled or where permitted by law. Analytics may capture page views, route changes, clicks on interactive elements, form submissions, JavaScript errors, Core Web Vitals, device information, browser information, approximate location derived from IP address, referrer, and pseudonymous identifiers.
Tamper uses analytics to understand feature adoption, diagnose errors, improve onboarding, measure conversion, and prioritize product improvements. Tamper does not use optional analytics to collect full payment card numbers or intentionally collect sensitive personal information.
4. Consent management
Tamper displays a cookie banner that lets visitors accept or decline optional analytics. If you decline, Tamper will not intentionally load the optional analytics script in that browser. You can change your choice by clearing site data or using any preference-management control Tamper makes available.
5. Browser and device controls
Browsers and devices may allow you to block cookies, delete local storage, limit tracking, send opt-out signals, or restrict permissions. Blocking necessary storage may prevent login, offline operation, checkout, or other core features from working correctly.
6. Updates and contact
This Cookie Policy is version 2026.08.12, effective 2026-08-12. Questions may be sent to privacy@tamper.app.
